ELEKS Business Analysis Office is looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team, based in Kyiv or working remotely, with occasional business visits to Kyiv.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to develop products around the needs of their end users. Product decisions should be driven by whether they solve real problems and whether users choose to adopt and use the resulting solutions.

This role spans product discovery, technical solution shaping, and delivery. You will have direct access to users and ownership of product priorities. You will need to quickly understand their context, uncover the needs behind conflicting requests, propose effective solutions, validate assumptions, and drive changes through to measurable outcomes.

The pace is fast, so we expect you to validate critical assumptions, identify and manage risks, and make informed decisions without waiting for perfect information.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Speak directly with end users and domain experts, study their workflows, and identify needs they may not express as feature requests
Turn requests from users, customers, and other stakeholders into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and solution options. Resolve conflicting needs using evidence and explicit trade-offs
Choose fast, appropriate ways to validate ideas, such as interviews, prototypes, workflow reviews, usability tests, and analysis of actual usage. Account for operational and security constraints
Set product priorities independently. Weigh user impact, value, urgency, risk, implementation effort, and cost of delay, and explain the decisions to the team and stakeholders
Define what success looks like for each meaningful change: its baseline, target outcome, measurement approach, and point of review. When quantitative data is limited, identify useful qualitative signals and how to collect them
Work with design and engineering on end-to-end user flows, edge cases, business rules, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, and system dependencies. Explore technical trade-offs and give the team enough clarity to build without unnecessary documentation
Stay involved through delivery: answer questions, remove blockers, validate released changes with users, and adjust priorities based on what you learn
Communicate decisions, reasoning, risks, and open questions clearly. Escalate issues that require a decision outside your area of ownership

Rapid validation. You choose the smallest useful test of an assumption, define what you expect to learn, and adapt when the evidence changes
Impact-based prioritization. You can explain why a problem matters now, what evidence supports that judgment, and which opportunities the team is deferring
Technical judgment and delivery clarity. You can break down a problem into primary and exception flows, acceptance criteria, and constraints. You can discuss integrations, data flows, access control, error handling, and dependencies with engineers to reach a feasible solution
Clear communication in a fast-moving environment. You can make decisions understandable, respond to new information, and work across user groups and stakeholders without relying on lengthy approval cycles for every step

REQUIREMENTS

7+ years of experience as a Product Manager
Databases and data flows: Understand data models and relationships, ask the right questions about data quality and freshness, and work with engineers to investigate issues. Experience with SQL is required; deep database administration is not expected
Web technologies and browser DevTools: Use tools such as the browser Console and Network panel to inspect requests, responses, and client-side errors. Understand why critical rules, including authorization and data validation, must be enforced server-side
WebSockets: Understand the basics of real-time, bidirectional communication and how connection loss, reconnection, delayed messages, and stale state affect user experience and requirements. You do not need to implement the protocol yourself
Product analytics: Define meaningful events and success metrics, examine usage patterns and funnels, and combine quantitative findings with user feedback. Know how to specify the data you need when tracking is incomplete
AI tools: Use AI thoughtfully to support research synthesis, analysis, drafting, or prototyping. Check outputs against source evidence and apply appropriate care when handling sensitive information
APIs and integrations: Read API documentation and collaborate with engineers on authentication, error cases, retries, data consistency, and dependencies between services

RESPONSIBILITIES

Define business needs and business change drivers
Manage customer expectations and translate needs into effective solutions
Elicit requirements using different BA techniques (interviews, focus groups, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis etc.)
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying needs
Document, analyze and prioritize detailed business requirements based on users and business needs
Proactively identify improvements that would increase efficiency or productivity in work effort, processes or application features
Establish and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices, as well as other procedures
Develop requirement and other project documentation templates
Conduct requirements audit
