Solution Architect (pre-sales team)

ELEKS is looking for a Solution Architect to join our pre-sales team in the USA.

The Solution Architect serves as a technical leader and trusted advisor in the sales cycle, working closely with our sales teams and customers to scope, design and articulate technical solutions that address a customer’s unique business challenge. This role sits in the gap between our technical and business teams and relies on deep technical expertise to craft & sell customized technology solutions.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Education & Experience
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Preferable formal business education (MBA or executive education)
  • 5+  years of experience in IT solution design and architecture
  • 5+ years of experience with client-facing activities in a solutions architecture, technical consulting, or presales engineering role
  • Strong track record of successful complex solution delivery

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Technical Skills
  • Deep understanding of software architecture principles and frameworks, experience with architectural patterns and anti-patterns, security architecture principles
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple technology domains (e.g., clouds, web and mobile applications , data applications, and others)
  • Proficiency in creating and managing technical documentation
Business & Soft Skills
  • Outstanding communication and social skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse partners of all levels: C-suite to VP to Director to individual contributor
  • Strong analytical skills, with the capability to solve problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Business acumen and basic to intermediate understanding of IT value creation
  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of management consulting concepts and/or frameworks
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of IT service industry trends and best practices

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Design & Technical Leadership
  • Lead technical sessions with customers to understand their requirements, technical environment, constraints, and challenges
  • Design and architect comprehensive technical solutions that support customer needs and business objectives. Ensure solution designs align with industry compliance requirements and standards
  • Create and present technical proposals with quality attributes analysis, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Provide technical expertise in RFP/RFI responses
  • Follow company’s pre-sales methodology, standard templates and tools:
    – Leverage standardized solution design approaches and frameworks, architectural notation and diagrams styles
    – Apply established estimation models and tools
    – Maintain documentation according to office standards
  • Potentially serve as an advisor or leader on a critical client engagements
Customer Engagement
  • Practice active listening and collaborate with our clients to assess their immediate, short term and long-term expectations with their business goals or product roadmaps
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to refine solution requirements and design
  • Provide technical wisdom and guidance during workshops or meetings with customers
  • Evaluate technical feasibility and technical risks of potential opportunities
Sales Support
  • Develop technical portions of sales presentations and proposals
  • Participate in technical discovery workshops to identify upsell opportunities
Knowledge Management & Innovation
  • Stay up to date with current industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings
  • Contribute to the development of solution frameworks and reference architectures within the company
  • Act as a thought leader for Eleks’ internal teams, providing mentoring and guidance of engineers from our various Centers of Excellence
Public Visibility & Thought Leadership
  • Deliver technical talks or workshops at industry conferences and technical events as a speaker or panelist
  • Participate and/or lead technical hackathons to showcase innovation capabilities
  • Create technical content including blog posts, whitepapers, and technical articles
  • Build personal brand through social media presence and technical community engagement
