(Snowflake) Senior Data Engineer

ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Canada, Argentina, Poland, Croatia, Estonia and Ukraine.

ABOUT PROJECT
Our client is a leading data processing company in the United States that uses the Snowflake Data Cloud to help customers modernize and support their business on one common platform.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of hands-on working experience within Snowflake
• Experience or willingness to work with DBT Framework
• Working knowledge with designing and building Data Visualizations that drive decisions
• Proven track record of providing documentation, training, and support
• Ability to work independently and with a team to drive priorities
• Experience with large data sets and data modeling

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Building databases, data lakes and data ingestion pipelines to deliver the datasets for projects
• Engage and coordinate with stakeholders across of various levels of seniority to ensure buy-in to and delivery on data objectives including with (but not limited to) data platforms and architecture, development and operational teams, data security and privacy as well as 3rd parties
• Keep up-to-date on new technologies and relevant developments in the data, data science and machine learning engineering space to improve the existing data foundations infrastructure
• Further the knowledge of data engineering across the data science teams and the wider community through regular participation in knowledge shares, best practice and coaching activities
• Comply with up-to-date data security, data privacy (GDPR) and information data governance rules
