Senior Test Engineer (Las Vegas, NV)

Eleks Quality Assurance Office is looking for a Senior Test Engineer (Las Vegas, NV). 

Ensure that project quality objectives meet the stated requirements. Create test specifications, prepare test case definitions, contribute to test plan development, perform software testing, and report deviations and anomalies using appropriate tools. Provide professional feedback on overall product quality and follow defined processes. Implement and execute tests at all planned levels. Log and evaluate results and document deviations from expected results. Use test administration, monitoring, and management tools. Create, validate, and update test documentation. Review, analyze, and assess project requirements and specifications to convert them into quality control process artifacts. Prepare and acquire test data. Contribute to general project quality assurance processes. Analyze, improve, and establish test processes on projects. Analyze coverage for project test bases. Define relevant metrics for projects. Define, prioritize, and estimate needed test efforts. Define defect and test-case handling processes. Define appropriate test-ware and environments for projects. Measure the performance of components and systems. Work with Swagger; Postman; Chrome DevTools and Kibana; verifying assumptions made in specifications and during system implementations; validating deliverables provided to ensure required standards are met; applying different testing types; monitoring, reporting, and controlling progress of testing activities; identifying and analyzing defect re-occurrences; establishing, analyzing, and improving test processes on projects; identifying and handling testing risks throughout projects; establishing plans for testing throughout projects; defining test-case and defect handling processes; selecting appropriate test management- and issue- tracking tools; Windows Operating Systems; virtualization tools (VMware Workstation and VirtualBox); tools for web, mobile, automation, performance, and security testing; identifying and analyzing defect re-occurrences; performing root cause analysis; performing test design using specification-, experience-, structure-based techniques; SQL; and, NoSQL.  

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study, plus three (3) years of experience with Swagger; Postman; Chrome DevTools and Kibana; verifying assumptions made in specifications and during system implementations; validating deliverables provided to ensure required standards are met; applying different testing types; monitoring, reporting, and controlling progress of testing activities; identifying and analyzing defect re-occurrences; establishing, analyzing, and improving test processes on projects; identifying and handling testing risks throughout projects; establishing plans for testing throughout projects; defining test-case and defect handling processes; selecting appropriate test management- and issue- tracking tools; Windows Operating Systems; virtualization tools (VMware Workstation and VirtualBox); tools for web, mobile, automation, performance, and security testing; identifying and analyzing defect re-occurrences; performing root cause analysis; performing test design using specification-, experience-, structure-based techniques; SQL; and, NoSQL. Alternatively, the employer will accept five (5) years of experience with Swagger; Postman; Chrome DevTools and Kibana; verifying assumptions made in specifications and during system implementations; validating deliverables provided to ensure required standards are met; applying different testing types; monitoring, reporting, and controlling progress of testing activities; identifying and analyzing defect re-occurrences; establishing, analyzing, and improving test processes on projects; identifying and handling testing risks throughout projects; establishing plans for testing throughout projects; defining test-case and defect handling processes; selecting appropriate test management- and issue- tracking tools; Windows Operating Systems; virtualization tools (VMware Workstation and VirtualBox); tools for web, mobile, automation, performance, and security testing; identifying and analyzing defect re-occurrences; performing root cause analysis; performing test design using specification-, experience-, structure-based techniques; SQL; and, NoSQL. ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification is required. Telecommuting is permitted.
