ELEKS is searching for Information Technology Director in all locations or remote.

Requirments

  • Designing modern architecture (enterprise architecture, solution and network architecture, hybrid environment, microservices) for enterprise-level companies
  • Deep understanding of recommendations or requirements (i.e. ITIL, COBIT, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, SOC2, HITRUST) as well as industry best practices and their implementation in the IT ecosystem
  • Principles and techniques of systems development lifecycle/understanding of SDLC, both technical and process sides. Principles and toolset for CI/CD
  • Principles and practices of technical problem-solving
  • Principles and processes of service management
  • Business analysis principles, techniques, and methodologies (requirements lifecycle management, brainstorming, interview, user story, process diagrams)
  • Experience of project or program management methodologies and processes implementation, auditing, review, and improvement, including stakeholder management
  • Business process and change management techniques (e.g. SIPOC, BPMN, RACI-matrix)
  • Financial management and cost allocation approach

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer science/telecommunications, or similar
  • MBA management degree would be a plus
  • CGEIT, PMP, ITIL, COBIT, Six Sigma, TOGAF certification is a plus

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in information technologies. Preferably in big IT services or IT product business (500-5000 employees, 100+ customers, 5+ locations worldwide)
  • 5+ years in management positions (IT director, CIO, or similar)
  • Experience in managing large and complex projects/activities (20+ people, 12+ months project/activity duration)
  • Leading the team of managers or 10+ engineers

Responsibilities

  • Work with company management to establish a vision for IT departments and develop a strategy that drives results in support of company strategy, objectives, and business initiatives
  • Lead, plan, direct, and coordinate activities to manage and implement assigned programs from proposal initiation to the final operational stage including the transition into “business-as-usual”; plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the programs
  • Set the company policy for the management of change in live services and test environments. Ensure effective control and treatment of risk to the availability, performance, security, and compliance of the business services impacted
  • Lead the creation and review of a systems capability strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the company. Capture and prioritize market and environmental trends, business strategies, and objectives. Set strategies, policies, standards, and practices to ensure compliance between business strategies, technology strategies, and enterprise transformation activities
  • Lead systems design activities for strategic, large, and complex systems development programs. Develop effective implementation and procurement strategies, consistent with specified requirements, architectures, and constraints of performance and feasibility. Develop systems designs requiring the introduction of new technologies or new uses for existing technologies
  • Coordinate implementation, development, and acquisition of IT infrastructure, information systems, and IT services, in close liaison with business stakeholders responsible for management and strategy
  • Develop and maintain the appropriate organizational structure of the departments that supports business needs
  • Champion the importance and value of skills/competency assessment and of appropriate assessment methods, tools, and techniques. Lead in the introduction and use of assessment methodologies and tools
  • Determine company development needs in line with business needs and strategic direction. Generate development strategies to achieve required change. Develop and lead communities of practice, including defining career pathways. Monitor progress and evaluate business benefits achieved from continual professional development
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and direct involvement in assigned processes and services
  • Ensure that a catalog of available services is created and maintained and that service level agreements are complete and cost-effective. Negotiate with relevant parties in respect of disruptions and major amendments to the provision of services. Review service delivery to ensure that agreed targets are met and prepare proposals to meet forecast changes in the level or type of service
  • Develop, align with stakeholders and monitor goals, key performance indicators, metrics, service level objectives/agreements; initiatives road-maps, and statuses
  • Identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement. Build an action plan to strengthen services
  • Ensure that the business processes and information required to support the company are defined, and devises appropriate processes and data architectures. Lead and plan activities to communicate and implement information management strategies
  • Lead and plan business process improvement activities; identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend solutions that exploit new technologies and automation
  • Identify and manage resources needed for the planning, development, and delivery of specified IT services
  • Set, negotiate, agree and manage all financial budgets and targets, ensuring that there is adequate funding for all IT targets and plans, especially to meet development and capacity needs. Analyze actual expenditure, explain variances, and determine options in the use of available budget to meet real needs. Assesses financial performance and instigate required improvements
  • Define the approach for commercial communications, and the management and maintenance of the relationship between the company and suppliers. Review supplier analysis and assesses effectiveness across the supply chain. Assure that the quality of the services delivered by suppliers meets contractual commitments and business needs
  • Oversee, plan, respond to, and implement findings of internal and external audits
  • Establish and maintain the policies for compliance with the organization’s obligations (including legislation, regulatory, contractual, and agreed standards/policies)

  • Performance of functional roles and instructions of the superior, as well as supervision of the subordinates in terms of their operational duties
  • Performance in accordance with the current administrative, criminal, and civil legislation of Ukraine, the internal labor regulations of the Company, fire safety rules, and information security regulations
