The customer is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, cost-effective health care and equipping their members with information and tools so they can make the best health care decisions for themselves and their families. We are helping to achieve our customer’s goals by developing and supporting IT tools. Numerous applications and APIs are both for internal and external use.

Teams are using agile methodologies like scrum, kanban, XP. The majority follow TDD and pair programming. The typical team consists of 6-8 developers and a product manager who is responsible for the user stories and communication.

We are seeking a talented ODM (Operational Decision Manager) IBM ODM Developer to  spearhead the design, development, and deployment of decision management solutions using IBM’s Operational Decision Manager platform. Your role will be instrumental in revolutionizing our business processes by automating decision-making and unlocking a myriad of business benefits across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing decision management solutions using IBM ODM
  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE programming languages and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of business rules management systems (BRMS) concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience with integration technologies such as RESTful web services, SOAP, and ESBs.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to architect and design decision management solutions leveraging IBM ODM’s business rules engine capabilities. Develop strategies for optimizing decision-making processes to enhance operational efficiency and agility.
  • Lead the development efforts to configure business rules, decision tables, and rule flows within the ODM platform. Implement decision services and rule artifacts to automate complex decision-making logic and streamline business operations.
  • Integrate ODM solutions seamlessly with existing enterprise systems, including core insurance applications, claims processing systems, and customer management platforms. Ensure smooth data flow and interoperability between ODM and other critical business systems.
  •  Develop comprehensive test plans and execute rigorous testing to validate the accuracy, reliability, and performance of ODM solutions. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure robustness and adherence to business requirements.
  • Create thorough technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment guides, and operational manuals, to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of ODM solutions. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  •  Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of decision management processes. Identify opportunities for optimization, innovation, and automation to maximize business value and competitive advantage.
  •  Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, testers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality ODM projects on time and within budget. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
