ELEKS Quality Assurance Office is looking for a Test Engineer in Richardson, TX, USA

ABOUT PROJECT

We are seeking a Test Engineer to support the migration of a legacy VB.NET application to a modern platform using Java Spring Boot, ReactJS, and Cognos BI reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating application functionality, data integrity, report accuracy, and end-to-end system performance throughout the migration lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS

8+ years of software testing experience
Experience testing web applications built with Java Spring Boot and ReactJS
Knowledge of VB.NET applications and migration projects
Experience testing Cognos BI reports and data validation
Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL, and test automation tools
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

PREFERRED

Experience with enterprise modernization or legacy application migration projects

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and regression tests
Validate functionality of migrated Java Spring Boot and ReactJS applications
Test Cognos reports converted from legacy Crystal Reports
Perform integration, system, API, UI, and user acceptance testing
Verify data migration accuracy and report reconciliation
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables
