Senior Data Engineer

ELEKS Software Engineering & Development Office is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Argentina (Buenos Aires and Cordoba).

ABOUT PROJECT

A multinational British-American firm that operates in the professional services and management consulting sector, delivering various products aimed at risk mitigation. Additionally, the company extends its offerings to include data and analytics services, strategy consulting, investment banking advisory, health insurance, and retirement solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Experience with Azure
• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server, including DBA responsibilities focused on performance tuning
• Advanced mastery of T-SQL
• In-depth knowledge of indexes, execution plans, and query optimization
• Solid understanding of transaction isolation levels
• Hands-on experience with replication, mirroring
• AlwaysOn and other high-availability technologies
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or Databricks is a plus
• Upper-Intermediate level of English

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design optimal database schemas in line with industry best practices
• Create normalized or denormalized data models based on business requirements
• Develop scalable and high-performance data architectures
• Define and enforce naming standards and coding conventions
• Write complex SQL queries and optimize stored procedures
• Develop database objects such as functions, triggers, and views to support business logic
• Implement efficient transactions with robust error handling
• Design and maintain appropriate indexing strategies to enhance query performance
• Analyze and tune underperforming queries
• Perform advanced indexing and execution plan optimization
• Conduct database tuning and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and concurrency issues
