ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Senior AI Engineer in Ukraine.

ABOUT PROJECT

You will be involved in the development of the company’s AI PoC solutions, with subsequent participation in commercial projects.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 5 years of software development experience building production‑grade services combined with AI model inference
Knowledge and hands‑on practice working with AI models (integration, adaptation, usage, orchestration)
Experience with LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and agentic orchestration
Python as the main programming language (or having experience in another programming language and will to move to Python)
Strong understanding of backend development and microservice architecture
Solid software engineering knowledge: SDLC, architectural principles, cloud diagramming, database design
Strong database knowledge (NoSQL, SQL, Vector); Graph database knowledge is a plus
Experience with Azure/AWS or similar platforms for application deployment and AI deployment
Experience with AI services such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or similar model‑inference platforms

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team across engineering, product, and data functions
Communicate directly with clients to communicate progress, clarify expectations, and provide technical guidance
Design and build AI‑driven microservices and APIs, including end‑to‑end model integration
Understand AI model trade‑offs, test AI systems, and evaluate testing results
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Mentor and support junior and mid‑level engineers
Handle AI model integration, adaptation, optimization, and orchestration in production environments
Develop conversational AI solutions, including LLM‑based systems and RAG architectures
Take full ownership of the AI component within the project, ensuring quality, scalability, and reliability
