Junior Data Engineer

ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Junior Data Engineer in Ukraine, Croatia and Poland.

ABOUT PROJECT

Our client is a global law firm providing legal services to clients across various industries. The firm specializes in corporate law, dispute resolution, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.

REQUIREMENTS

• 6-12 months of experience as a Data Engineer with Power BI
• Previous experience working with SQL Server
• Previous experience translating business requirements into insightful reports
• Creating technical documentation
• Adhering to agreed report presentation standards
• Working on global projects, accommodating different time zones, and building relationships with a diverse range of people
• Working in a legal/professional services firm will be a plus
• Understanding of key finance terminology and reporting requirements will be a plus
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proactive and capable of working independently when needed
• Business international level of Upper Intermediate Strong level English – both written and oral

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create insightful, performant, robust, and reconciled management dashboards/reports based on existing data from the Azure tabular models and other data sources as required, applying best practices in report design and leveraging the capabilities of Power BI
• Create and deploy dashboards/reporting within the global Business Insight architecture, supporting global and regional team members as required
• Work with the global team to optimize reporting processes, ensuring Dentons provides the best user experience from their investment in the Power Platform in general and Power BI specifically
• Embrace ongoing change and improve both processes and quality of deliverables, providing clear explanations as changes are rolled out
• Collaborate with the technical reporting team to provide reports for data reconciliation through the data transformation process, ensuring that regional and global teams have complete transparency of the data back to source systems
• Produce formats and templates to support regional teams in creating standardized and consistently high-quality reports for a global audience
• Contribute reports to a global Marketplace to support sharing of report templates across regions
• Provide ad hoc support for other Power BI report writers
• Support the data stewards and wider finance transformation data team with reports and analysis as required, helping ensure that data clean-up activity delivers business benefit and supports better decision-making
• Create and update documentation and online tool support text as necessary
