ELEKS DevOps Office is looking for a Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer in Poland, Croatia.

ABOUT CLIENT

The project involves developing a secure and scalable B2B payments platform that processes real-time financial transactions while ensuring strict compliance with EU financial regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer
Deep hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments
Proficiency with Terraform/Terragrunt for multi-account, multi-env setups
Experience with secure CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar
Solid understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, VPC isolation, access control)
Familiarity with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana stack)
Experience working in small, collaborative Agile teams
EU work location (must physically reside and work from within the EU due to regulatory constraints)
Upper-intermediate level of English

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable AWS infrastructure across multiple isolated accounts (per environment)
Define and manage infrastructure with Terraform and Terragrunt following GitOps principles
Deploy and manage workloads on Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) using IaC and CI/CD pipelines
Implement and maintain internal tooling for monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
Support and configure HashiCorp Vault for secrets and identity management
Assist in bootstrapping infrastructure CI/CD via GitLab CI, and help define pipeline automation standards
Support backup & disaster recovery strategy — including immutable backups and zero-downtime readiness
Integrate infrastructure with SSO systems (Okta) and manage IAM role propagation securely
Collaborate closely with Rust backend engineers, product owners, and security leads
Participate in team dailies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning as a fully embedded team member
