Senior Security Engineer

ELEKS is looking for a Senior Security Engineer in Argentina.

Our client is a leading US health insurance company with over 25 million members. The customer is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, cost-effective health care and equipping their members with information and tools so they can make the best health care decisions for themselves and their families. We are helping to achieve our customer’s goals via developing and supporting the IT tools.

• 5+ years in security engineering, secure development, or similar roles
• Working experience with Java
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10, cryptography, and secure API design.
• Experience with Wireshark, Burp Suite, Metasploit, GitLab CI/CD, SAST/DAST tools.
• Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK
• Ability to work cross-functionally and explain security concepts clearly.
• Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, OSCP, CEH, GSEC, or similar credentials
• Upper-Intermediate English (written and spoken)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write code that prevents vulnerabilities like SQL injection, XSS, and buffer overflows, following OWASP/NIST standards
• Identify risks during design and implement mitigation strategies
• Perform or support penetration testing, SAST/DAST, and fuzzing
• Detect, assess, and patch vulnerabilities; track relevant CVEs
• Embed security in CI/CD workflows and automate testing
• Build internal tools for security scanning and monitoring
• Develop and enhance secure authentication, authorization, and encryption features.
• Work with SOC, red/blue teams, and IT to respond to incidents and improve defenses
• Maintain up-to-date security docs, including threat models and test results
• Ensure adherence to standards like GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001
