ELEKS supported Tarilka, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to combating food waste and reducing poverty. Tarilka is opening a food bank for people in need. ELEKS contributed a financial donation that was invested in a mobile refrigeration unit, 4 germicidal lights, weighing scales, a touch-free temperature gauge and a laptop. This is all equipment needed for the food bank created by the organisation to run efficiently and correctly.
During May and June, all ELEKS offices in Ukraine established charity collections. ELEKSers brought books, computer equipment, kids’ toys and clothes for those who urgently need them. All of the donated items were carefully packed and handed over to the representative offices of the Red Cross Society in Lviv, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil.
ELEKS turns sports into charity.
Within the framework of the 30 Good Deeds initiative started on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of ELEKS, each month we transfer funds to the dobro.ua platform for every kilometre run or cycled by an ELEKSer.
As of 14 June, we have already raised UAH 336, 718.
Together, united by RUNNING, we save lives!
ELEKSers joined the 28th Chestnut Run charity marathon. Even those who were not in Kyiv were able to join the event online.
All proceeds will go to charity! Each year, the Chestnut Run Charitable Foundation purchases the required equipment for the Scientific and Practical Medical Centre of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health for Ukraine.
On the first day of summer, which was also International Children’s Day, ELEKS joined a private celebration organised by the Regional Organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society in Lviv. We are grateful to Uliana Stelmakh, the head of the Lviv regional branch, for the invitation.
Volunteers from the organisation conducted a masterclass on making dream catchers and various entertaining exercises for children from large families, in particular, from families that have been internally displaced from the East.
ELEKSers organised a public park cleaning event to contribute to the welfare of others.
The area has been cluttered for the last two decades. In the spring of this year, volunteers began working on the space to develop the concept of “urban gardening”. We believe that the park will become a cosy place for cognitive natural leisure.
The initiative took place as part of ELEKS’ 30 Good Deeds project.
Together with Radio SKOVORODA and Territory, we are launching a podcast called “Literary (In)dependence” about 30 major books of the Independence period. ELEKS’ volunteers helped the local community to draw attention to the unique Lenkevych-Valevsky estate, which was built in the late 18th and early 19th centuries based on a Swiss chalet. For many years, the estate had been in a state of disrepair, but work has now begun on the restoration of the park near it.
Sofiya Byelenkova, Director of Enterprise Applications Practice at ELEKS, visited Teach for Ukraine to share her experience and knowledge.
What kinds of motivation do you know and why are there different kinds? How can you work on your first reaction? What audiences influence your project? Students in the project management session from ELEKS now know the answers to these and other questions. And what is the best way to take in information? Practice! Therefore, the participants were also able to practice on their personal projects.
“Just do it!” advises Oksana Ivanchenko, Requirements Analyst at ELEKS, to those who are eager to make a difference in the world around them. That’s exactly what Oksana did. She came up with a great idea for ELEKS’ #30_good_deeds project, in line with which our company donated more than 300 books to nine libraries in the Lviv and Ternopil regions.
Volunteers personally went to the nearest village libraries to hand over the valuable gifts for communities.
ELEKSers added lively colours to the daily lives of children living in orphanages. Tamila Volochiy, our Project Coordinator, came up with the idea to implement another good deed within the scope of ELEKS’ #30_good_deeds project – and this deed turned out to be very colourful.
Together with the public initiative Paint their Life, we decorated by painting the walls of the Berizka infant orphanage and the Darnytsia residential childcare facility. See how the project took shape in this video.
What is to be expected of the labour market in 2030? How can we prepare for that? These questions were discussed during the Future of Work, an exhibition for young people. ELEKS was a partner of the event. Kateryna Andrushchenko, Head of ER Office at ELEKS, delivered a welcome speech to open the exhibition. Oksana Bryndzak, Employee Relationship Specialist, and Orest Dmytrasevich, Competency Manager, also took part in the exhibition.
Doctors take care of us, so it’s important to take care of them as well. Another one of ELEKS’ #30_good_deeds this year has been brought to life, so we share this process and the result in this video.

This year ELEKS joined charity race DobroRun, held by “Tabletochki” charity foundation! This is a race where everyone can help children with cancer by covering the distance he wants to overcome (even 100 meters).
A team of 53 participants ran more than 250 kilometres from all over the world: Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, and even in Montenegro!
In total, we transferred UAH 26.5 thousand to the fund.

ELEKS supports Teach4Ukraine because education is one of the key aspects of the development of the young generation and society as a whole, as well as one of the company’s key values.
The project reduces educational inequality by making it possible for children from small villages and towns to get a high-quality education. Since September, a new 2021 cohort of teachers has gone to teach in small towns in five regions of Ukraine.
Oksana Moroz told our specialists about information hygiene and how they can protect themselves from manipulation in the media, on social networks and when using instant messengers. Oksana is the founder of the “How not to Become a Vegetable” volunteer initiative on information hygiene.
In the book, Oksana explains how to protect your personal data and how not to get hooked by scammers. ELEKS supports this initiative and has bought more than 450 books for teachers all over Ukraine.
Oleksiy Panchenko, Delivery Manager at ELEKS, offered to help with equipment for the military as one of the initiatives of ELEKS’ 30 Good Deeds project. He is convinced that sometimes a word or act can be crucial for another person, that an amount of money relatively small for us can save someone’s life, and that things that are not essential to us could be vital for others.
“The ten workstations and six switches that we are handing over to the military unit will now be helpful to new users in the Armed Forces,” says Oleksiy.
We have a great collaboration with the VSI NGO that works in the field of audio decoding to provide specialised dubbing of films for the visually impaired. The organisation’s mission is to protect the rights and interests of people with disabilities.
With funding from ELEKS, VSI has adapted two films: The Theory of Everything (a biographical melodrama of physicist Stephen Hawking) and the Ukrainian cartoon Mykyta Kozhumyaka. Also, with our support, the NGO published books in Braille script and in a universal design with audio versions.
More than 120 of our professionals and their little helpers in Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk were united by a shared purpose over the weekend: they planted 30 trees in their cities. The number of trees is symbolic because this year, we are celebrating our 30th anniversary and implementing our 30 Good Deeds project.
We highly appreciate our specialists’ dedication to creating an amazing atmosphere and this wonderful initiative!
ELEKS is involved in the Caritas Ukraine Home Care project and supports 50 single elderly people in Ivano-Frankivsk.
We are happy to support the elderly in a special way on the occasion of the company’s 30th anniversary and to continue our cooperation with Caritas. This partnership is a part of ELEKS’ 30 Good Deeds project.
ELEKS provided financial assistance for the needs of fosterlings at the Zhyva Perlyna (Living Pearl) orphanage in the Lviv region. Thanks to this, 10 kids will be able to attend music lessons until the end of the school year. The children will play the sopilka, clarinet and piano.
The mission of the family childcare home is to ensure that all the necessary conditions are in place so that children can develop physically, intellectually, spiritually and emotionally, and grow up to be conscious citizens.
