  • 5+ years of experience in Information Development/Technical Writing/Technical Communication
  • Advanced or Proficiency level of English
  • Extensive experience with producing various deliverables: user manuals, help systems, technical/operations manuals, API documentation, knowledge bases, video tutorials, infographics, etc.
  • Extensive experience with professional tools like MadCap Flare/ATCS, Camtasia/Storyline
  • Experience starting documentation projects from scratch and leading people
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Initiative and proactivity
  • Experience mentoring staff
  • Certificate in the professional area would be a plus


  • Develop a content strategy
  • Understand the product requirements, identify client’s writing style, and write technical documentation that conforms to publication standards (Microsoft, Apple, Chicago, ISO, Sun, IEEE, RAND, etc.)
  • Create publication guidelines for internal company use and for project use
  • Create documentation templates for various document outputs at a high proficiency level
  • Estimate documentation development efforts and agree task deadlines with Project Manager or Head of IDO
  • Write and edit all possible documentation types as required on a project at a high proficiency level
  • Create various graphics and infographics types for documentation at a high proficiency level
  • Create various types of video documentation at a high proficiency level
  • Implement and support single-sourcing, structured authoring, and minimalism at a high proficiency level
  • Develop documentation architecture and apply content strategy on the projects
  • Create context-sensitive help systems and cooperate with the development team to embed them into the product
  • Communicate with stakeholders; receive high-level documentation tasks, break them into small simple tasks, assign tasks to Information Developers, and organize task execution and team interaction
  • Build effective documentation processes using different technical communication methodologies without any conflicts with other sub-teams processes; propose innovations to the process during project life cycle to maximize team performance
  • Conduct peer reviews prior to distribution; ensure that documentation is consistent and meets style guide and branding requirements
  • Follow a standardized process to edit and deliver software documentation; introduce and maintain documentation processes on the projects
  • Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and provide solutions to any documentation issues
  • Create documentation from scratch using HTML, XML, and CSS
  • Approve technical requirements to documentation software with stakeholders; evaluate and justify the terms of the task completion; assign tasks to Information Developers and monitor task implementation
  • Pass competence certifications
  • Organize and perform internal coaching and mentoring of staff
  • Conduct internal staff testing (“matrix”), perform competency analysis and organize lectures, seminars, IDO talks, experience sharing sessions, and other forms of trainings for Information Developers
  • Develop functional areas by engaging leading technology experts to share experience
  • In cooperation with the Head of IDO, develop competence strategy of the IDO, create training materials and knowledge libraries for internal company use
  • Drive technical interviews, gathering variety of information about a potential candidate (attitudes, motivation, behavior, etc.)
    Assess and consult other projects; prepare information development-specific proposals for prospects, develop marketing Case Studies
  • Suggest and implement new information development technologies and approaches
