ELEKS is looking for a Head of Quality Assurance Office.

Job Summary

Manage the Quality Assurance Office towards the company strategic goals and needs ensuring the development and successful functioning of the office and professional growth of specialists.

Mandatory Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • 2+ of experience in managing teams (10+ people)



  • Establish a vision for the office and develop QAO strategy, objectives and expected outcomes for the QAO to be aligned with Company Strategy, develop structure and operating norms to implement this vision
  • Ensure timely review of the office strategy and its correspondence to the company strategic goals and needs


  • Establish, adopt, and enhance effective processes, practices, tools, and standards for all office functions
  • Own the office organizational structure
  • Keep competitive advantage through ongoing evaluation of the office processes, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Own the implementation of QAO projects and initiatives
  • Plan the budget of the office, negotiate the approval of the budget with the stakeholders, and ensure adherence to it

Competency Development

  • Own the development and implementation of competency standards (competency matrix, guidelines, etc.) for QAO with alignment to company goals
  • Prepare and ensure the proper functioning of the procedural framework to conduct activities for measuring the qualification level of specialists and their professional growth
  • Ensure continuous competency development activities for specialists and ensure that these activities are supporting company goals
  • Establish communication channels and collaboration within QAO to ensure specialists are on the same page with the company
  • Align competency development activities with other company departments (university, resource management, delivery, tmo)
  • Proactively contribute to the continuous development of the organization
  • Establish the initial remuneration of specialists and trigger its timely and reasoned revision

Staffing Support

  • Align internal and external staffing activities with capacity management
  • Responsible for decision making about hiring specialists into QAO and about separating them at their own request or by company initiative
  • Plan specialists’ rotations in coordination with delivery representatives (PMs, DMs) and capacity management team to ensure internal staffing capabilities
  • Conduct interviews and organize a group of experts capable to interview candidates to ensure interviewing capabilities

Sales Support

  • Represent the QAO at meetings with clients, conferences, industry events etc.
  • Support the presales process by consulting the Engagement team, providing materials related to QAO expertise, and preparing engineers for customer interviews

Projects Consulting

  • On-demand help on projects by conducting audits with the involvement of relevant experts from QAO
  • On-demand help on projects via arranging partial project involvement of Competency Managers (up to 50%) to start new projects or temporary support teams with challenging project tasks

Specialized knowledge

  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of software development methodologies
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of Software Development and Testing Life Cycles
  • Knowledge and understanding of Software Quality Characteristics
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of QA process, value and cost
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of testing techniques, methods, levels and types
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of test artifacts and their lifecycle (bug reports, test cases, etc.)
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of common artifact management systems (bug trackers, test and requirement management, etc.)
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of different quality control and assurance documentation standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of test effort estimation process
  • Understanding of the success criteria definition for different testing activities

  • Ability to calculate ROI and perform Test Automation feasibility study
